“The systemic way of thinking and looking at the world helps us to become aware of the mechanisms and dynamics that are at work in systems that we normally never notice.
These are the dynamics that can, in one moment, give us wings to fly and in another moment, hold us paralysed and unable to act”

13.00-16.00 A constellation on an organisational change issue regarding e.g.
– planned or emerging future
– drivers for change
– systemic approach for transformation
– past, present, future from a systemic point of view
– patterns to be recognised
Our traditional view of leaders – as special people who set the direction, make the key decisions and energize the troops – is deeply rooted in an individualistic and nonsystemic worldview….
Unfortunately, given the linear thinking that predominates in most organizations, interventions usually focus on symptomatic quick fixes, not underlying causes. This results in only temporary relief and it tends to create more pressures later on for further, low leverage interventions.

Who are we?
Jan Jacob Stam
I am Jan Jacob Stam. Being the founder of the Bert Hellinger Instituut the Netherlands I am more than grateful and excited about the fact that I found a field to work in that is both fascinating and fostering and that might be of great value for society.
At the institute I am the trainer of various workshops and training programs. At the moment I am gaining most of my important new insights from working with organisations and social issues. Currently I am working in more than thirty countries, my courses are either in Dutch or English.
As a former biologist I love living systems. I observe them without judgment and without aiming to improve them. I have been a teacher for over ten years at high schools, I have been a manager at a telecom company and I have been a partner in a consultancy firm. It feels like everything merged into my current job as a systemic constellator. The passion of exploring…
I still feel that excitement which I used to feel when I was a little boy playing on the beach – discovering beautiful shells from the giant ocean of knowledge.
